Campus Description
Bard offers a writing-intensive interdisciplinary curriculum and core academic program. The 1 to 10 faculty-student ratio supports challenging opportunities: accelerated degree programs, self-designed majors, small and rigorous classes, tutorials, and a required senior project.
Located on 600 acres in the historic Hudson River Valley, the campus offers tranquility for serious study; its proximity to New York City (90 miles to the south) complements its academic and cultural life. The approximately 2,000 undergraduates come from more than 60 countries and nearly all states.

Varsity Sports: NCAA Division III: Women's: basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball. Men's: baseball, basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer, squash, swimming, track and field, tennis, volleyball.
