Campus Description

Pratt Institute is a coeducational, private, professional school offering Associate, Bachelor's, and Master's degree programs in art and design, architecture, fashion design, writing, planning, library science, and more at two campus locations. Pratt's main campus consists of 25 park-like acres situated amongst the turn-of-the-century mansions and Victorian brownstones of Clinton Hill, one of Brooklyn's historic landmark-designated neighborhoods. Midtown Manhattan, the heart of New York City, is a 20-minute subway ride and offers students a vast array of professional, cultural and recreational opportunities. Pratt's satellite facility is located in Manhattan's Chelsea district. With 23 accredited undergraduate degree programs, 25 graduate programs and about 4,600 students, Pratt today is one of the largest and most comprehensive colleges of art, design, writing, and architecture in the world. Pratt also has a two-year extension campus in Utica, NY for the study of fine art, communications design, art education and photography with automatic relocation to the Brooklyn BFA upon completion of the first two years.
