Elmira College is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college emphasizing both general and professional education of approximately 1,300 undergraduate students located in the Southern Tier of New York. Academic offerings include 35 majors in the liberal arts and sciences, along with programs in business, education, and nursing. A strong intercollegiate athletic program in NCAA Division III and more than 100 extracurricular clubs and activities, including intramural sports, provide students with many opportunities outside the classroom. Community service and internships are included as graduation requirements for all students. Traditions, many dating back to the founding of the College in 1855, are an important part of life at Elmira.

Varsity Sports, NCAA Division III: Women's: basketball, cross country, field hockey, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball. Cheerleading is also a varsity, non-NCAA sport. Men's: baseball, basketball, cross-country, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and volleyball.

Among the over 100 clubs, organizations and honor societies are the Christian Fellowship, Circle K, Hillel, Model United Nations, Musical Groups, Newspaper, Phi Beta Kappa, Pre-Law and Pre-Med Clubs, Ski Club, Student Government, Theatre Club, WECW (Radio Station), Yearbook.
