Adelphi's lush 75-acre main campus in historic Garden City, has seven residence halls and is conveniently located 45 minutes from New York City, and just a few miles from some of Long Island's most beautiful beaches, parks and cultural centers. Adelphi's new recreation, sports and performing arts complex has further enhanced a vibrant campus life. In the fall of 2015, Adelphi will open its 100,000 square-foot Nexus Building and Welcome Center. The new center will house cutting-edge laboratories and learning spaces for the College of Nursing and Public Health as well as essential student services, such as Adelphi's Learning Center, Writing Center and its Center for Career Development.
Students may join Adelphi's 80-plus student organizations, including fraternities, sororities and academic honor societies. Adelphi has outstanding NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic teams, including its Division II national championship women's lacrosse team, as well as an array of intramural activities. Students also have free access to an array of counseling, financial aid, mentoring and other life improvement services. Adelphi offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs of study at its main Garden City campus and three off- campus centers and online.
